Wat Sila Ngu

Wat Sila Ngu Temple is located between Lamai and Hua Thanon next to Rocky Beach resort. This temple said to contain a relic of the Lord Buddha. The golden chedi facing the temple's entrance is a popular place of worship, here you can enjoy the nice and warm seabreeze right at the beginning when you step in because the temple is   right next to the beach. Not only that the temple usually have the temple fair every year, so if you are lucky you can shop for the cheap stuff right next to the temple wall.

Wat Samret Temple

Wat Samret Temple, has a room full of buddha statues they will show you. The most fantastic old room filled with a very large seated Buddha and a large reclining Buddha surrounded by a lot of life sized seated Buddha’s. This old temple is the guardian of the ancient White Marble Buddha, believed by many, including the resident monks, to be many hundreds of years old.

Wat Plai Leam Temple

Locate on the North of Samui. The temple is famous for colorful statue of Guanyin with 18 arms and big chinese buddha that set in the middle of the lake. Wat Plai leam is a beautiful temple with various figures to look at.  The big basin around the temples in the water is full of fish and by donating some baht to the monks you get a bag of fish food.  Have fun !

Wat Laem Sor Temple

Wat Laem Sor Temple is built like a boat with fishes you can feed if you donate some money to the monks in return for fish food. Near by is the beautiful Laem sor pagoda situate next to coral beach. The area is quiet and calm, not many houses or villas around which make the temple much more relax and get away from it all.

Laem Sor Pagoda

Laem Sor Pagoda - a Thai Chedi on the southern tip of Samui island. This beach-front chedi may be the most lovely place on the island.  Next to the pagoda is a small 'meditation forest' of trees with places to sit and even a few tables. Surrounded with man-made lagoon and some mangrove trees planted along the beach side. On Buddhist holy days, monks and lay people will come fill the forest and grounds in a festival atmosphere. The rest of the time, its a quiet and beautiful spot for a picnic.

 

 

 

 

Wat Kiriwongkaram Temple

Wat Kiri Wongkaram is noted in part for the mummified body of the Buddhist monk name Loung Por Ruam, which rests here in a glass case. This venerated monk was prepared for public viewing upon his death 25 years ago, and his body remains in remarkably good condition. Follow the main road 4170 south from Ban Saket junction, then turn right between the two giant elephant statues and look for the temple on the right situate near by Taling ngam beach.
