Maenam beach has been getting busier last years, but is still more relaxed than Chaweng & Lamai. There are a lot of cheap fan bungalows around as well as the Santiburi Beach resort with its five stars.
The beaches on this part of the island gets to see the sunset, the sunsets are particularly nice during the summer months where the sky gets beautifully coloured, especially during April - August.
Chaweng outshines anything else on Samui regarding the amount of nightlife area and places to go, Chaweng probably has everything, just find your spot.
